Oncology touch therapy

Oncology Touch Therapy

Gentle, specially-trained touch therapy to support comfort and wellbeing for people living with and beyond cancer.

Gentle, supportive touch for people living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. Hannah has completed specialist oncology-massage training with Jennifer Young, and separately trained in oncology massage with the ITTU team at The Christie Cancer Centre, so each session is carefully adapted to you, your energy, your comfort and where you are in your journey.

This is a calm, nurturing space to feel cared for. Oncology touch therapy is offered to support comfort and wellbeing, and to complement, never replace, the care of your medical team. Treatment is always shaped around a gentle conversation about how you are feeling and what would feel good on the day.

A gentle note on medical clearance

If you are currently receiving treatment for cancer, or you are in between treatments and waiting for your next stage of care, I will gently ask for clearance from your oncology team before your session can go ahead. It is a small step, and I will always help where I can to make it feel manageable.

I know that asking for this can feel like one more thing to carry at an already tiring time, and I never take that lightly. Please know it comes from a place of care. I have specialist oncology massage training, but I am not a clinician, and a few words of reassurance from the professionals who know your situation best allow me to look after you safely. It is also part of the guidance set out by my training provider, Jennifer Young, and by my insurance.

Most of all, it means we can both settle into your treatment with real peace of mind, knowing you are in safe and caring hands.

If you are not currently in active treatment and are not waiting for further care, you are very welcome to decide for yourself whether to seek medical advice beforehand. There is no pressure either way. And whatever your situation, if you are ever unsure, please just get in touch. I am always happy to talk it through with you.

Good to know

Can I have a massage during or after cancer treatment?

Gentle, adapted touch therapy can often be a comforting support during and after treatment. Because everyone's situation is different, Hannah will talk through how you are feeling before any session and adapt accordingly. If you are currently under medical care, it is a good idea to mention massage to your medical team too.

How is oncology touch therapy different?

It uses lighter, slower, carefully-adapted techniques informed by specialist oncology-massage training with Jennifer Young. The focus is entirely on comfort, safety and wellbeing, never on treating or curing anything.

Space to pause, space to breathe, space to be.

Book your treatment in a few taps. Every session is tailored to how you are feeling on the day.
